I helped a client build out an email marketing sequence. Here’s how we did it:
– break down sales conversations into logical sequences
– craft engaging 800-1000 word ‘reading from their diary’ stories
– use a headline + intro + “here’s where you’re at on the journey” as a hook to opt in
(Yes, we had multiple entrypoints into our funnel.)
Of course, I could get deep into the technical details and break all that down into tactics…and maybe I should!
Let’s jump ahead to the results:
– Marketing agency & client’s employees raving about the quality of the content (comes from powerful, vivid, aligned storytelling)
– Responses from prospects like “Very well done on the story! Great marketing method. Keep up the good work!”
– 47% open rate within 12 hours on the latest mailing
This client has some of THEIR best clients staying on their toes to make sure they get all of the marketing materials that are put out…
If it sounds like I’m bragging about what we pulled off, maybe I am just a little bit… but I’m also really proud of & happy for the client, because their in an industry that has mostly soulless marketing. The zigged when everyone zagged, and they’re winning because of it.
